5-6-07 Yankees 5 Mariners 0

(Hideki Matsui Yankees left fielder)

It was a great win for the New York Yankees on Sunday May 5th at Yankee stadium winning 5 nothing. The Yankees had a home field advantage and they sure used it.
It was a great day for hideki Matsui as well hitting his 2,000th home run that day.
Also announced Sunday was the return of Roger Clemens who will be playing the rest of the season with the New York Yankees. Clemens got a 28 million dollar contract with the Yankees. The first four innings for either team were scoreless, it wasn't until the fifth inning that the Yankees stepped up and hit two homers. Not stopping to let the Mariners keep up the Yankees hit one homer in the 6th and another two in the seventh. The eighth inning was scoreless but the Yankees had already beaten the Mariners no doubt but the seventh inning anyway.

4-11-07 Yankees 1 Twins 5

(Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriquez)

The Yankees had an upsetting lose Wednesday April 11 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. They tried their best but still didn't add up to the Twins luck in beating the Yankees. Mike Mussina was the Yankees starting pitcher but he had to leave early due to an injury to his left hamstring, it's uncertain if he will miss his next turn on the rotation or not due to the injury. Four people from the Yankees have been taken out of the games in the last two weeks due to being injured. Chein-Ming Wang was the other pitcher with an muscle injury. Sean Henn took over to cover Mike Mussinas place.
